We Will Miss You, Uncle JP

My uncle died unexpectedly yesterday. He had a massive heart attack. He had always treated me like I was part of his family. He took me on his family vacations, attended and video taped all my sporting events and was there when I graduated high school and college. Please keep my aunt and cousins in your prayers. He leaves behind four boys: David, 23; Eric, 21; Kyle, 16; and Lance 9. They are fantastic kids, (Lance is my Godson and Eric is Patrick's Godfather) and I am so proud of them for pulling together and staying strong at such a hard time. We will miss you, Uncle JP.

Christmas at Mimi and Papa's

The spoiling continued at Mimi's and Papa's on Christmas evening. The kids were up to their elbows in presents! Do our kids have the best grandparents in the world or what?

Christmas Eve/Christmas Morning

Our Christmas festivities really began on Wed the 23rd. My mom spent 5 days in the hospital having her gall bladder removed and being treated for an infection. She finally made it home on Tuesday and had us over the next day for dinner and presents. She is a machine, I tell ya! I was so excited on Christmas Eve because up until that night, Finn wanted nothing to do with Santa. And after Christmas morning, I am pretty sure Santa is Finn and Patrick's new favorite person. Yep, they are spoiled rotten. We had so much fun this year seeing Finn get so excited about all his toys. It was worth every penny spent at Toys R Us!

Introducing the newest member of the family...Squidward the fish!

Auntie Shannon's

Wow, it has been way too long since I have blogged. I guess the job, the kids and the Christmas season has been keeping me pretty busy! We started of the Christmas festivities a few weeks ago with a trip downtown to visit Auntie Shannon. The kids rode the train in the lobby of her office and then we all went back to her place for some Aurileos....mmmm!

Happy Birthday to Mommy!

I had the most wonderful birthday yesterday. Both boys slept in and then I lounged around while Dan and Finn baked me a cake. After naps, we went to my mom's for a birthday party. Mom cooked a huge meal, and I am not sure if anyone enjoyed it more than Finn. Thanks to my family for a great 29th birthday! I can't wait to celebrate my 29th birthday next year too...and the year after...and the year after!

Lunch with Mary Agnes

We had lunch with Dan's Great Aunt Mary Agnes on Friday. The kids had ants in their pants. Hopefully Mary Agnes wasn't looking forward to a nice relaxing lunch!

Patrick's Baptism

Last week was a pretty crazy week for us. I started a new position at work, Dan had knee surgery and we had Patrick baptized. After the Baptism, we had about 50 O'Tooles/Zanghis over for dinner. Thanks to Shannon and Eric for being Patrick's godparents. We couldn't have picked two greater role models.

Creative World School Thanksgiving Dinner

Finn and Patrick's school put on a Thanksgiving dinner at our junior high school last week. Finn loved seeing all his friends and teachers. He had just seen them an hour before at school, but something about getting to play with all his buddies somewhere other than school was so exciting for him.

Surgery Aftermath

Dan is recovering from his surgery pretty well. Still swollen and a little painful, but he is doing his best to keep up with the boys and me.
