Let the Countdown Begin

Well, tomorrow marks 38 weeks, and I am very excited to report that my doctor will be inducing me on 9/7 at 7am. Yes, 9/7 would be Labor Day, so I guess it's a good day to have a baby. We're very excited to meet the newest O'Toole! 8 days to go!

Swingset

I am happy to report that after having the swingset all summer, it still has not gotten old. Finn and I had a great time on this cool August day playing up in the tower. Good thing this swingset doesn't seem to have a weight limit!

Happy Birthday, Mimi

Today is Mimi's birthday. We stopped over to visit her and Papa and celebrate. Finn had a great time having a dance party with Mimi and playing in the backyard. I am sure he was very excited to have someone else chase him around since Mom is a little on the slow side these days. Happy 29th birthday, Mimi :)

Fun With Molly

We never know what to do with ourselves on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Finn wakes up way to early to hit the zoo, mall, museum. I mean, is it too much to ask for these places to open at 6:30am? Luckily, Molly is just a short drive a way. We stopped over there Saturday morning and the kids had a great time, chasing each other, playing in Molly's tent and tickling each other.

New Toy

Finn has recently decided that he would rather push his stroller than ride in it. He's not a very good driver, so I got him a doll stroller for practice. Dan would like it to be known that he had nothing to do with this purchase!

Phillips Park

Phillips Park has become one of our favorite places in Aurora. Hollywood Casino lost that honor once we became responsible parents and daycare started taking all our extra money! Finn loves to play on the huge playground and then take a visit to the zoo. Not too much excitement with the animals today. Saw some gators, crocs, and snakes in the reptile house and the big turkey and that was about it. Got home just in time for lunch and 4 hour naps for everyone. Gotta enjoy that while it lasts!

Swimming With Grandma

Today Finn and I went with Grandma to one of her favorite places, East End Pool. Finn loved the water and loved copying all Lance's cool jumps into the water and playing in the kiddie pool. After swimming, we went over to the Pollitz's and Eric, Kyle and Lance built a cool fort for Finn. He always has such a great time with the Pollitz boys!

Sunday at The Cell

Well, it is certainly a treat to watch a Sox game in "the seats," but it would be much more enjoyable if we could actually see them win. I am pretty sure that none of the O'Toole's have been to a winning Sox game this year. Oh well, win or lose, Dan and I had a great time with Bob and Donna on Sunday. The weather was perfect, we treated them to a delicious brunch at the Stadium Club, and I got to watch everyone drink ice cold beers. What more could you ask for...aside from a win?

Happy 2nd Birthday, Finn!

Today is Finn's second birthday, and wouldn't you know, the terrible two's have started right on schedule. We had a busy morning of presents and cake making and then thought it would be fun to go to the zoo. This idea turned out to be no fun for anyone (which is pretty evident in the picture of Dan, Finn, and the Brown Bear). After a 3 and 1/2 hour nap, Grandma Jo came over for dinner and then we took a visit to Auntie Mary's. Finn had a great time playing with in the yard and eating cake. After an exhausting day of birthday fun, it is time for mama to go to bed!
