Milestone

On April 30th, my grandparents will celebrate 60 years of marriage. What an extraordinary occaision, and I am so happy we were able to make it so memorable for them. On Sunday, we surprised them at their 7:30 am mass...yes, all 35 or so of us! Then we grabbed a quick breakfast and presented them with a memory book, photo album, and dvd. The surprises didn't end there. The family showed up at Grandma and Grandpa's with a minature replica of their wedding cake. The real thing was 5 feet tall, so it wasn't quite up to scale, but I think they enjoyed it just as much! Congrats to Grandma and Grandpa on a huge milestone!

Zoo With Lance

We took Lance to the zoo with us this morning. We had a great day, and packed in a lot of exhibits in the short two hours we were there. The new dinosaur exhibit was especially cool! Finn was asleep before we even left the parking lot!

Easter

Finn had a great Easter. He was extremely spoiled by his grandparents and aunts. Mimi and Papa set up an Easter egg hunt in their backyard. Molly was very determined to find every single egg and get it in her basket. Finn, on the other hand, became very ticked off if anyone put any eggs in his basket. He thought the eggs were balls and just wanted to throw them. At least there was no fighting over eggs!

Finn's New Friend

Today we took Finn to Breakfast with the Bunny at Brookfield Zoo. We weren't real sure what his reaction to the Easter Bunny would be after being not so impressed with Santa just a few short months ago. To our surprise, Finn LOVED the Easter Bunny. There was a Mr. and Mrs. Bunny at the breakfast and Finn kept point and yelling "Bunny" or more like "Wunny" trying to get them to come over to our table. He could not get enough. Afterwards, we got to have our picture taken with the bunnies. We ended up getting in line twice! Oh, and many of you know that Finn is not always on his best behavior when we go out to eat. We figured out the problem. All we need is a three man band!

Last Gymnastics Class

Today was Finn's last gymnastics class until next fall. We have a busy spring and summer planned with lots of trips to the zoo and swimming pool. We're going to miss Mr. Russ until then (I think Dan may even miss him more than Finn!). Thanks for a fun fall and winter, Mr. Russ. GO HAWKEYES!
