Christmas
Finn woke up on Christmas morning saying Santa (actually it was more like Tanta) over and over again. We were thinking he was probably having nightmares of Santa from the night before :) Finn must have been very good this year, because he got a TON of presents! Thank you to all the Grandparents for being so generous.

Visit to Papa's Work
Today we took a trip to visit Papa at work. Finn and Molly had a great time running around his office. And since we were downtown, we took a trip to Macy's to check out the windows and Christmas tree.

All Aboard!
We went to the great restaurant called All Aboard in Downers Grove today. It's all about trains, and your food is even brought out to you on a train. Finn and Molly weren't so interested in the food, but they loved to ride the train!

Happy Halloween
Finn was Bam Bam for Halloween this year. After searching long and hard on the internet, I decided that it wasn't worth it to spend $30 on a costume, when I could make one that was way cooler. Thanks to Amy for showing me how to use my sewing machine and helping me out with some of the tricky parts!

Vacation Week
The O'Tooles had a busy but productive week. Dan took the week off work and did some painting, yard work, and cleaning. He was also able to pick Finn up early from school for some father/son bonding...I don't even want to know! On Friday, we headed out to a family party in Bloomingdale to celebrate our cousins Nick and Lance's birthdays. Finn had a great time playing with his cousin Lauren, who is just 6 days older than him. On Saturday, Payton had a friend over. Payton will be 4 years old on Thursday and still acts like a crazy puppy. We had a dog trainer come out to the house and within 45 minutes we had Payton walking like a perfect dog. Now it's up to us to walk him every day so he can take in some new smells and release some pent up energy. Saturday afternoon, we made it out to see cousin Mikey's football game. Mikey is 6, and it was pretty entertaining to watch a bunch of 6 year olds run around in full gear playing tackle football. Finn spent most of his time running around in goose poop. YUCK! He did get to sport his new winter coat, though, and he looks like the stay puff marshmallow man! And then, after that, our good friends Amy, Lon, and their son Eli came over. Finn and Eli had such a great time playing together. Eli even cried when it was time for Finn to go to bed. Amy also taught me how to use my sewing machine and helped me work on Finn's costume (can't wait to blog about that next week!). And then, I wrapped up the busy weekend by doing a 10K run in Sycamore with my friends Sarah and Joe. It was cold and windy, but I was happy to get out and run, as I have not done much of that since the half marathon.

Hangover Sunday
Dan and I had a little too much fun at a wedding Saturday night while Finn was having fun spending the night at his Grandma and Grandpa O'Tooles. We woke up Sunday morning feeling like we got hit by a train. Finn was so kind as to come home from Grandma and Grandpa's and take a 3 and 1/2 hour nap. We were so greatful, that we took him to the park as soon as he woke up. It's only a block away, but he can walk the whole way by himself! He likes to hold both Dan's and my hand along the way.
