Birthday Party #2

We had what Dan calls Finn's dago party on Saturday. It was my side of the family, the dagos, and it was another combo party celebrating Lauren's birthday as well. She turned the big 2 on Sunday. For the second year in a row, Finn wasn't really into his cake (which was actually a big old cupcake this year). Not to worry, though. He definitely got his sugar fix. I believe his dinner consisted of M&M's and gummy bears.

Birthday Party #1

We had birthday party #1 with the O'Toole's last night. We celebrated Molly's 3rd birthday and Finn's 2nd birthday. Seemed a little more like Christmas morning, though, with all the presents. Thanks for all the great toys and clothes, Mimi, Papa, Aunt Shannon, and Biedermans! We had a lot of fun playing with everything today!

I was very worried after last week when we tried to move Finn into his big boy bed in his new White Sox room. We thought he'd be so excited. I mean, how many two year olds do you know who have a fathead? Well, he freaked out when we tried to put him to bed. I was sure that I was going to have to go out and buy another crib. Last night we gave it one more try. We moved his big boy bed into his old room. He stayed in bed all night and pretty much fell asleep right away! We were so proud of him, and I think he was pretty proud of himself. So, now I guess Baby Patrick is going to have a cool White Sox room. I bet he'll be the only newborn you know with his own fathead!

Cooper Court Block Party

This weekend we attended our 3rd Cooper Court block party. Hard to believe we have been in this house for 2 and 1/2 years! This year I helped plan the festivities. Finn enjoyed a visit from the fire department, t-ball, and riding bikes in the cul-de-sac. Dan enjoyed drinking keg beer all day and night and sucking at beer pong! Finn decided to wake up at 5:3o this morning, which didn't help Dan's hangover situation. Nothing a sausage egg mcmuffin couldn't fix, though.

Crazy Boys!

After working up a sweat playing on the swingset on Sunday, Dan and Finn decided to take a dip in the pool...with all their clothes on. What a bunch of goof balls. What the heck am I going to do with another crazy boy in this house?

Rainy 4th of July

We had a very rainy 4th of July, so we decided to spend the morning at the mall. We learned two things. 1. Finn is not afraid of heights. 2. Adults do not have to pay to ride the carousel, so Dan was lucky enough to ride twice with Finn to use up the extra token we had.
