I had the most wonderful birthday yesterday. Both boys slept in and then I lounged around while Dan and Finn baked me a cake. After naps, we went to my mom's for a birthday party. Mom cooked a huge meal, and I am not sure if anyone enjoyed it more than Finn. Thanks to my family for a great 29th birthday! I can't wait to celebrate my 29th birthday next year too...and the year after...and the year after!

Patrick's Baptism
Last week was a pretty crazy week for us. I started a new position at work, Dan had knee surgery and we had Patrick baptized. After the Baptism, we had about 50 O'Tooles/Zanghis over for dinner. Thanks to Shannon and Eric for being Patrick's godparents. We couldn't have picked two greater role models.

While Dad's Away
Dan (who, by the way, is having knee surgery on Tuesday!) went to Ohio State for the weekend. Even though the Hawks lost, it was still great game for him to go see. While he was gone, we had a lot of people to keep us company. Mom, Christine, Kurt, and Lance spent just about the whole weekend with us. We went to the park, mall, got Finn a haircut, and out to dinner. The mall would be the place where we picked up the giant Mickey Mouse. I know, I know, I am such a sucker. But how could I say no to Finn when he was walking around the store with Mickey telling him he loved him and that he was going to take him home?

Diet Update
Despite Dan's recent setback, we have still both made progress. Dan has lost 15 pounds so far and I have lost 20. Still seems like we have a long way to go, but my 3 mile runs are getting easier and Dan's work pants now come off without him unzipping them. In fact, this morning, he had to make a new notch in his belt.
Dan saw the orthopedic yesterday and he is going to have to schedule an MRI and will also have to wear an immobilizer for 6 weeks. He is pretty bummed because that is going to limit his physical activity. I guess he'll have to counter not working out with drinking less beer! Haha!
