The O'Tooles had a busy but productive week. Dan took the week off work and did some painting, yard work, and cleaning. He was also able to pick Finn up early from school for some father/son bonding...I don't even want to know! On Friday, we headed out to a family party in Bloomingdale to celebrate our cousins Nick and Lance's birthdays. Finn had a great time playing with his cousin Lauren, who is just 6 days older than him. On Saturday, Payton had a friend over. Payton will be 4 years old on Thursday and still acts like a crazy puppy. We had a dog trainer come out to the house and within 45 minutes we had Payton walking like a perfect dog. Now it's up to us to walk him every day so he can take in some new smells and release some pent up energy. Saturday afternoon, we made it out to see cousin Mikey's football game. Mikey is 6, and it was pretty entertaining to watch a bunch of 6 year olds run around in full gear playing tackle football. Finn spent most of his time running around in goose poop. YUCK! He did get to sport his new winter coat, though, and he looks like the stay puff marshmallow man! And then, after that, our good friends Amy, Lon, and their son Eli came over. Finn and Eli had such a great time playing together. Eli even cried when it was time for Finn to go to bed. Amy also taught me how to use my sewing machine and helped me work on Finn's costume (can't wait to blog about that next week!). And then, I wrapped up the busy weekend by doing a 10K run in Sycamore with my friends Sarah and Joe. It was cold and windy, but I was happy to get out and run, as I have not done much of that since the half marathon.
